60 West in Rocky Hill, CT was named a 2019-20 Best Nursing Home by U.S. News and World Report. The announcement marked the second U.S. News award for 60 West in two years, this time in the Long Term Care category. U.S. News and World Report’s rating process uses a standard for Best Nursing Home status that is more rigorous than the Star Rating system utilized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

It’s Halloween! And all around the iCare Health Network, residents and staff are getting in the spirit. Costume parties and pumpkin decorating and jack o’lantern carving contests were held.Snacks, candy, cookies and other tricks and treats were given out. Have a happy, safe and spooky Halloween! iCare Health Network Residents and Staff Attend Annual iFair with a Rocking Music Theme

On September 26, staff and residents from around the iCare Health Network convened at 60 West in Rocky Hill for the annual iFair. The iFair happens each Fall and has moved around locations, spending the last two years at 60 West. Each iFair has its own fun theme, often tied to Autumn events like football, Halloween and Fall leaves. This year’s event, however, was all about music. -
60 West Takes Annual Trek to Hammonasset State Park Beach

60 West took their annual trek to East Beach at Hammonasset State Park to say farewell to summer and enjoy the fantastic weather on Friday, September 13th. A total of 26 residents attended and were able to walk along the water, search for shells or roll down to the beach using adapted beach wheelchairs provided by the park. The staff and residents soaked up the sun, ate a picnic lunch and enjoyed each others company on a trip that has become a tradition for the care center.
